Course Description

Throughout history, one of the issues that has most attracted the attention of Ancient Egypt has been its funerary world and, specifically, the mummies. Perhaps because of the series of mixed feelings produced by admiring them (curiosity, fear, repulsion)... or because of the halo of mystery that surrounds them. However, for the Egyptians it was another tradition and mummification was part of a ritual that prepared the deceased to go to the afterlife.

In this workshop you will discover all aspects of these rituals, what they were looking for and the beliefs about mummification. It will help you a lot to discover even more this millenary culture and to better interpret the elements and exhibitions related to Egypt.
